One of the coolest things about living close to Washington, DC was the ability to get an abundance of shots like this! Many thanks to:

In one of two photo lessons I've ever had, I was told to search Google before I go out to shoot and don't shoot that... That's exactly what I was trying to do here, how do you shoot the Statue of Liberty in a new way, something not shot before. Many thanks to Karlina Valeiko at MSN Australia for using this photo in her January 30, 2019 article, "Can you guess these world-famous landmarks from their close-ups?"

One of my biggest regrets of living near Washington, DC is that it was only for one year. I was able to photograph the cherry blossoms only one time. I would have LOVED to shoot these again... 8-(

Before I got serious about photography I was a musician and most of my circle of friends were musicians as well. This piano belongs to one of my oldest friends who goes back to my earliest days of music back in high school. I took this photo of his piano while I was at home on vacation. Many thanks to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, DC for using this photo in their film, "Czech Independence - 100 Years" that came out in September 2018. I haven't seen the film but would love to see where/how they used my photo!

I used to walk the Silver Strand just south of Coronado, CA all the time just looking for things to photograph. I don't know how many times I walked by scenes like this and it never caught my eye, then one day... Thanks to Trailways for using this on their "Visit San Diego, CA" page in July 2018.

Trying to shoot everyday items isn't as easy as it seems, especially me. I've walked by this bike stand numerous times and never thought about them, I don't know if it was the light, the shadows, the leaves on the ground... But something just seemed different this time and I'm happy to have caught it.
A big thank you to the Wired Staff in Germany for using this in their July 6, 2018 Wired Germany article "UBER will in Berlin seine Jump-Fahrräder aufstellen" or "UBER wants to set up its jump bikes in Berlin." Click HERE for a translated article.
