In one of two photo lessons I've ever had, I was told to search Google before I go out to shoot and don't shoot that...  That's exactly what I was trying to do here, how do you shoot the Statue of Liberty in a new way, something not shot before.  Many thanks to Karlina Valeiko at MSN Australia for using this photo in her January 30, 2019 article, "Can you guess these world-famous landmarks from their close-ups?

Trying to shoot everyday items isn't as easy as it seems, especially me.  I've walked by this bike stand numerous times and never thought about them, I don't know if it was the light, the shadows, the leaves on the ground...  But something just seemed different this time and I'm happy to have caught it.

Although these are thee separate photos used by different companies, they're related.  It was pretty cool starting off 2018 with my Wisconsin hometown and my current city using these photos for their 2018-2019 Manitowoc, WI Area telephone book & Yellow Pages plus  the El Paso, TX Yellow Pages!  A huge thank you to Yellow Book and Yellow Pages as well as the cities of Manitowoc, WITwo Rivers, WI, and El Paso, TX for using my photos!

This was taken when I went home during summer of 2016, this location was actually a backup plan. After getting mosquito bites in places I didn't know I had while shooting the lighthouse in Two Rivers, WI, I left for Neshotah Beach in hopes of not getting up early for nothing. It worked out and proved why you should always have a plan!

The photo "Morning Rays" was inverted for their use.  Although this photo looks like summer, it's actually a winter photo from December 2017.  It was also the first time I shot in actual cold weather, it was -17 degrees and I set up my tripod in a snowbank, five minutes later my fingers couldn't feel the touch screen and the camera battery was just about gone.  The photo has been flipped horizontally from the original.

This was taken on a hot summer night in El Paso, TX from nearby Scenic Drive. I like this photo because it feels busy, like a city does, and shows contrast between the neighborhoods in the foreground and the downtown area in the center of the photo.  This photo was heavily edited for sale by removing many logos and trademarked items appearing in the original above.
