This photo, of graves at Arlington National Cemetery, was selected for a digital exposition in Berlin Germany at the BBA Circle at the Mostly White Exposition.  This hallowed ground is such a special place and like no other.  When I lived in northern Virginia I tried to get here as much as I could.  The amount of historic figures buried here is incredible.

Selected for a digital showing at the Valid World Hall Gallery in Barcelona, Spain in the Dramatic Lighting Exhibit on November 1, 2019.  I absolutely LOVE Colonial Williamsburg and can get lost in this place every time I go!

Selected  to be digitally shown at the Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece in the Mostly Black Exhibit from December 13-15, 2019.  This photo, of the morning sun shining on two Japanese submarines, was taken in the harbor at Yokosuka, Japan.

This photo, the four corners of plum crates, was taken at the Old Town Farmers Market in Alexandria, VA.  It has been selected twice for digital exposition in Berlin, Germany at:

The BBA Circle in the "Artistic Still Life" exhibit from January 31-February 2, 2020.

- The Berlin Blue Art Gallery in the "Centered" exhibit on April 18, 2019.

This photo was selected  to be digitally shown at the Our Amazing Planet Exhibit in the Annual Photography Conference lead by the Galitz Photography School in Tel Aviv, Isreal on November 26, 2019.  This is the amazing Kegon Falls near Nikko, Japan.  I'm already planning return trips in autumn and winter!

This photo was chosen for digital Exposition for Dramatic Lighting at the Valid World Hall Gallery in Barcelona, Spain on November 2-3, 2019.  It was taken at the Taiko Drum Festival in Narita, Japan.  The festival was over and we were waiting to board our bus to return home when I spotted these guys cleaning and prepping the kitchen for the next day.  This was shot handheld at ISO 3200!  I've read all the reviews about how the Canon 6d Markii is totally inadequate in low light situations, I don't buy it.  I like this camera so much that I purchased a second one as a back up!

This photo was selected for digital exhibit in the People in the City exhibition at the Valid World Hall Gallery in Barcelona, Spain on November 1, 2019.  It was taken in an alley just off Blue Street in Yokosuka, Japan at a yakitori stand where they grill meat in front of you and you stand in line and eat.  Pretty cool!

Selected to be digitally shown at the Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece on December 13-15, 2019 in the At the Beach Exposition.  I had just received a new lens in the mail, my girls wanted to go to the beach, I let them run and tried out the lens - win/win!  This photo, taken at Imperial Beach, CA, kind of describes my daughters personalities. On the left is the older and more grounded one who doesn't take chances and on the right is the younger who absolutely operates at full speed 24/7 and throws caution to the wind.

One of the most iconic Japanese shots you can get is the Churieto Pagoda near Fujiyoshida, Japan.  First you have to climb the 400 stairs...  Very happy that this photo was selected for a digital exposition at the opening of the Amazing Architecture Exhibit, at the Art Market Budapest in Budapest, Hungary on October 2, 2019.

Another photo taken that day was selected for digital display in the Artistic Photography category at the Thessaloniki Art Fair, November 21-24, 2019, Thessaloniki, Greece.

Two photos were selected for a digital exposition at the Laurent Gallery in Melbourne, Australia on September 20, 2019.  The first was taken in in Times Square during the summer of 2018 while on a family trip to New York City, I shot another in color but I think this shot is more powerful.  This was selected for the Dramatic B&W Exposition.

The second was taken in April 2017 at Coronado, CA on the Silver Strand.  I used to walk the Strand a lot when I lived there and was able to get a couple of cool shots here.  This photo was selected for the Less is More Exposition.

This photo was selected to be in a digital exposition in the Border Exhibition at the  Hinterland Galerie in Vienna, Austria on August 29, 2019.  I had a lot of opportunities to photograph the White House when I lived near Washington, DC and many times my goal was to capture it uniquely.  Is this photo about the White House or the fence surrounding it?  That was my purpose...

A photo called Wet Walk, which was taken on a trip to Florence, Italy when we lived in Naples is of our daughters walking in the rain with an umbrella on the cobblestone streets.  The photo was selected for digital exposition in the Street Photography Exhibit at the  Photosynthesis Art Center in Sofia, Bulgaria on August 1, 2019.

One of my favorite pics was entered in a series of Gurushots competitions called "Your Best Shot" in the spring/summer of 2019.  The result was, Your Best Photo - The Second Challenge, and this shot, called Rover, was selected by Dodho Magazine for their Top 100 of 300,000 photos submitted and more than 150 million votes cast in three challenges.  This

photo proves a serious point, it's not about the camera or the gear.  Lighting, composition, and clear subject matter more than just about anything else.  I have plenty of fancy gear and toys that I use daily.  However, this photo, taken with a Sony DSC-W7 "point & shoot" camera back in 2006, gets placed in their top 100.  There's a message in there somewhere...  πŸ€“

This photo, Stairs, was selected for a digital display at the Qlick Gallery in Amsterdam, Netherlands in the Beautiful Imperfections gallery from July 26-28, 2019.  It was taken while out walking near the downtown area of El Paso, Texas in an alley way between buildings.  Downtown El Paso is very interesting, a mix of old historic buildings and new as well, I hope they don't lose the old ones...

Coffee Machine 2 was selected for print and showcased for sale at the Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi in Venice, Italy on June 14, 2019 during the Venice Biennale.  It was taken on a corner in Yokosuka, Japan, it had just rained and the sun was coming out.  It made this red brick look shiny and almost unreal.

One the same day, this portrait of my daughters, cleverly titled Daughters, was selected to show in a digital exposition for Memorable Portraits.  This was taken in our backyard in Coronado, California.  I told them they would miss this swing more than iPads and TV, they do...

Corkin' was shown digitally at the Berlin Blue Art Gallery in the "Mostly Black" exhibit in Berlin, Germany on May 30, 2019.  I was doing a little light painting in my garage with a corkscrew stuck in the top of a bottle of wine.

This photo, called Wisky, because Wisky (with no "h") was the nickname of the USS Wisconsin, now on display in Norfolk, VA.  Visit my "July 14, 2019 Blog called About this..." for more info about this shoot.  This photo was exhibited twice at:

- Digital showcase at the "Monochrome" exhibition at the Ravnikar Gallery located in Ljubljana, Slovenia on May 10, 2019.

- 2017 Digital β€œBlack and White” Exhibition at Galeria6mas1 in Madrid, Spain on July 20, 2017.

Skylink was simultaneously shown digitally at two GuruShots exhibitions on the same evening!  The "Urban Scenery" and "Art of Photography" exhibits in Barcelona, Spain at the Valid World Hall on March 8, 2019.  This a first for me, kind of happy about it too!  πŸ€—  The photo was taken at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Dallas, TX.

Times Square 2 digitally exhibited at the GuruShots "City Scenes Exhibition" in Athens, Greece at the Blank Wall Gallery from November 30 - December 2, 2018.  Taken at Times Square in New York City.

Silhouette digitally showcased at the "Shadows and Silhouettes" exhibition at the Art Market Budapest in Budapest, Hungary from October 10-14, 2018.  The south pier light in Manitowoc, WI.

Light Traffic was digitally showcased at the 2018 "Creative Composition" exhibition at the Qlick Gallery, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from August 3-5, 2018.  Taken between the World War Two Memorial and the Washington Monument in Washington, DC.

In 2017 a friend suggested I enter a photo contest in my hometown of Manitowoc, WI.  I entered three photos, August Rains (top right) and Neshotah (middle right) took first and second place in the Coastal-Nautical category and OCS (bottom right) won third place in Sports & Recreation, the title is actually short for Orange Colored Sky.  Thanks JW for pointing me in the right direction for this!

Glass Ceiling was selected for digital exposition for the 2017 Thessaloniki International Art Fair at the Helexpo Exhibition & Congress Center in Thessaloniki, Greece on November 23-26, 2017.  Looking up at the ceiling of the Galleria Umberto in downtown Naples, Italy.

Hand in Hand was selected for the digital exposition for Minimalism at the 2017 MIA Photo Fair at The Mall in Porta Nuova in Milan, Italy from March 10-13, 2017.  These are my daughters walking at White Sands, NM, they kind of forgot about me and I let them go to get the shot.

- This photo was digitally shown at the Louvre in Paris, France and it's called IB Sunset #3.  It was selected for LensCulture Magazine's digital exposition as part of a collection for the 2015 Exposure Awards and was shown on July 13, 2015.  Pretty darn cool, the Louvre...  πŸ˜Ž   This sunset was taken at Imperial Beach, CA.
