The home of Major League Baseball pitcher "Stoney" McGlynn. Stoney pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1906-1908 setting National League records for innings pitched, batters faced, and complete games. He was called the “Iron Man of Baseball” for his durability as a semi-pro, minor and major league pitcher who pitched both ends of doubleheaders and extra-inning marathons.
